Auto shows have a highly charged atmosphere, providing the excitement of catching a glimpse into the future. Although some cars seem to be built purely to spark the imagination, others provide a more realistic glimpse of what to expect in the near future from your favourite brands. The following are five concept cars that you can expect to see for sale shortly, combining innovative design with practicality.
Building and releasing a competitive gaming station in 2013 is not that easy, and the price is something to be taking into consideration. PlayStation 4 will be released later this year, and the estimated price for it is $399. The new PlayStation will be also tracking the gamer’s face, so we can expect some sort of Kinect like interactivity. Currently, there are over 140 games developed especially for PS4′s new specifications: 8-core GPU, x86 processor, 8GB GDDR5 memory.
“iOS just got flat!”. I heard that particular phrase a lot these days, ever since Apple decided to launch the iOS 7. Let’s face it, while other OSs were reinventing themselves, Apple decided to add minor tweaks here and there to the general appearance of their Home Screen. With the new release, they’ve raised the stakes on home screen design, making us want to compare it with other competitors on the market.
But making a comparison between home screens has nothing to do with operating systems. It’s a matter of personal taste, colors, simplicity or complexity and, finally, about icons. Which one do you like more? Android 4.2.x, Apple iOS7 , WP8 or Ubuntu?

Apple’s WorldWide Developer Conference was held few days ago, and the next generation of operating system for the iPhone and iPad was introduced: the iOS 7. According to Tim Cook, the man in charge, iOS 7 represents the biggest step forward seen so far in iOS. Last night, I had the pleasure of testing the new iOS on a friend’s iPhone 5. He did not had the patience to wait for the official release, so he installed the developer’s version. After testing it for 30 minutes I concluded that the new version of iOS brings cool new features in appearance and in functionality, richer colors, while maintaining the smooth design and classic concepts. Everything about it feels dynamic and futuristic. Not bad, Apple…
On Summer, I always like to work outside, in the backyard of my house. It’s great for mood and I’m more productive this way. But sometimes, the screen glare becomes an irritating problem for my eyes, and I have difficulties reading articles or viewing videos. Compushade is the perfect solution for your outdoor digital ventures, because it protects my laptop display from undesirable sun reflections.
I bought a new cool gadget few days ago, and I would like to share it with you. I have multiple sources of Internet around me, depending on the location: home I’m using a pppoe connection on the LAN cable, I also have a WiFi connection, on the road I’m creating a hotspot using my smartphone and sometimes I share my 3G Internet dongle’s connection using a 3G compatible router. But, the other day, while I was checking some gadgets at a technology fair in my area, I found this cute box. At first, I thought it was some sort of a lamp or a device controlled via Internet. I was close, but way under its actual specs, because this box, called WebCube, is actually a 3G Wifi Router that allows you to create a WiFi hotspot using a 3G Sim.
The new portable router produced by TP-Link lets you share Internet content via Wi-Fi, and thanks to the 5200mAh battery, it allows charging smartphones and tablets.
The 3G/4G Pocket Router TL-MR3080 by TP-LINK device was introduced at Computex 2013 fair, which took place recently. It also allows sharing content on USB sticks or SD cards with devices connected to the Wi-Fi network. TL-MR3080 is the perfect gadget for travel and it has a special function: it can be used as a charger for tablets and smartphones thanks to its 5200mAh battery. Moreover, the new router from TP-LINK is the first model of a new series of portable routers called Amigo.
The anticipation around the launch of the new iPhone 5S is growing day by day, and gadgetry enthusiasts are showing signs that a bold move from Apple manufacturer is expected. The graphic artist, Federico Ciccarese, recently published a concept design model for the upcoming iPhone 5S. According to his design, the smartphone seems to part ways with actual design, it’s curved and the home button has new functions.
This post is rather personal. I own an Acer Aspire 7740 since 2010. I’ve paid around $800 for it back then, and compared to my previous Pavilion, this one was really fast! But, as you may know, Acer is not necessarily known for building everlasting products. The HDD works perfectly, the display is OK, no RAM problems, but few months ago, out of nowhere, the battery’s gone dead on me. I’ve tried every trick in the book to revive it (leaving it in the freezer included), but It’s damn gone, showing the Windows error: “Plugged in, no charging”.
