According to most reviewers – HTC U11 – the new smartphone launched by HTC, is the best camera smartphone on the market.
Recently launched, the HTC U11 is a smartphone that brings great enthusiasm for fans and experts. The smartphone is pleasantly surprising if we talk about its specs, but it’s even more if we talk about its camera.
It features voice commands, so you can take a picture by simply pressing the edges of the smartphone. The feature is called Edge Sense and the HTC U11 is the first gadget to feature it.
The most impressive aspect of this cool gadget is the camera. DxOMark Mobile tested the camera from several phones and the HTC U11 received a score of 90, becoming the new leader in the best camera smartphone competition. Here’s a video review of U11 made by Pocketnow:
HTC U11 Camera specs
The main camera is 12MP featuring dual pixel AF, multi-axis optical and electronic stabilization, f/1.7 aperture and 4K shooting.
Although the camera is similar in terms of specifications to that of HTC 10 (its predecessor), that 12MP CMOS sensor with a 1.4 micron pixel size has received an update. Therefore, scenes outside will be rendered in strong colors and tones, capturing each detail and the background noise will be greatly reduced.
In video mode, the sound recording is performed with 4 microphones, so the sound is captured from all directions.
The front camera has 16MP and a f / 2.0 aperture, which is more than enough considering today’s standards.
The new smartphone has a 5.5-inch Super LCD display with Gorilla Glass 5 featuring a 1440 pixels by 2560 pixels resolution (~534 ppi pixel density). The processor is 2.45GHz octa-core with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset assisted by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space, with the possibility of extending it via micro-SD. The case is waterproof and dustproof and the battery has a capacity of 3,000 mAh. The smartphone measures 153.90 x 75.90 x 7.90 (h x w x t) and it weights 169.00 grams.
The new HTC U11 can be ordered starting this May and will cost around 750 euros / £649 / $650 depending on your location.
