Summer 2014 is 6 months away and we’ll be visiting various places in order to bring some joy in our life. But this does not mean we need to be disconnected with the world. The Internet is really cheap these days, so you’re not really going anywhere because you’ll always be connected to everyone else. Let’s not forget that most folks are doing all their work via Internet. All you need is a smartphone, and you can take everything with you, right there, in your pocket. Here are some nice apps that I like to take with me on a holiday trip:
Dragon Search is just like Siri, but works on every device. It will provide a free way to search for online content on your iPhone™ using just your voice. What’s nice about this app is that it features many languages, so it’s not only for folks in US and England.
If you are going to a foreign country and you don’t know the native language, this app will save the day! It will automatically translate anything you type or talk into a desired language. The app uses Google Translate service and around 60 languages are available. For most languages, you can speak your phrases and hear the corresponding translations.
Wattpad – Free books in your pocket
This is not just a book reader, is a way to connect with other writers and readers around the world. With UNLIMITED STORIES, whether you like fantasy, romance, historical fiction, mystery, teen or fan fiction you will always find something fun to read and be connected directly with other readers and writers!
There is no trip without pictures. iPhone has a great camera, but the native app for it it’s just too simple. What’s cool about Awesome Camera is that it does everything that Camera+ does, but it’s free. With this app, your iPhone’s camera will enter the next level, shooting really fast and taking sharper, better-exposed shots. It also features lots of filters and cool effects.
“…makes the iPhone feel less like a cameraphone and more like a phonecamera” – TIME
Flipboard – Your social newspaper
Attractively fashioned for iPad and iPhone, Flipboard produces a personalized magazine out of everything being shared with you. It also features standard news from all over the world, grouped in various categories. I used various news-readers before, but when I found this one I’ve uninstalled everything else.
This app connects you to the famous review website. It’s perfect when you want to get a real, unattended impression of hotels, restaurants and flights around the world. It’s the perfect place to find a place to sleep, or to read hotel reviews. The app is very simple to use.
True Car app
Summer 2014 will be all about fun and vacations. If you plan to take a trip to another country than you should definitely check this app. According to developers, it will save you around $3,046 off MSRP. Now that’s something…
