Google and Samsung teamed up and created a new laptop: The Samsung Chromebook. Sundar Pichai (from Chrome browser, OS and product teams) say that this is the best laptop you’ll find at this price – $250. Samsung Chromebook is not trying to replace your Windows or Mac laptops, but instead it tries to be an addition to them, just like a tablet or a smartphone.
Samsung Chromebook Features
The new Samsung Chromebook features a Samsung Exynos dual-core ARM processor, a chip designed mainly for laptops and smartphones. If you buy this laptop, you’ll get 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage. Along with this laptop, Google offers 100GB of free Google Drive, so you have plenty of space on cloud to store your files. But, the space is available only for 2 years, so an external HDD is more suited.
The display has a resolution of 1366 x 768 and if you buy this cool gadget, you’ll also get a HDMI port. But, what’s cool about this laptop, are the physical features: Chromebook is one of the thinnest and lightest laptops on the market: 2.5 pounds and 0.8 inches thick.
Why you should buy this laptop instead of a tablet?
Mainly because it has a keyboard, and sometimes we need one to type fast. The Samsung Chromebook runs Google’s Chrome OS and it has over 6 hours of battery life. You will always do your work better from a laptop.
Until this version is available for sale, you can check Samsung Series 5 Chromebook.
