The fans that came to BlizzCon in order to see the latest news about their favourite game titles were in for a large surprise. The official trailer for the Warcraft movie was released, introducing the main characters and the plot. The movie will be released next year, and the plot is focused on Warcraft 2 lore, without overlapping with the actions from the game. The conflict between the humans and the orcs starts with the latter running through a portal, into the realm of Azeroth. An alliance between the feuds seems very unlikely, but it is the only solution for survival.
As expected, the Warcraft movie trailer polarized the fans, part of them being eager to see the movie while the other criticized the trailer for poorly made special effects and a plot that lacks depth. Official release date: June 10, 2016.
